How to prevent stroke?
2020-05-12   Source:    Hit:24   Font:
Cerebral stroke is a group of diseases whose main clinical manifestations are cerebral ischemia and hemorrhagic injury symptoms, also known as cerebrovascular accident, with extremely high mortality and disability rate, mainly divided into hemorrhagic stroke ( intracerebral hemorrhage and subarachnoid hemorrhage) and ischemic stroke (cerebral infarction, cerebral thrombosis), and cerebral infarction is the most common.

In recent years, stroke patients are showing a younger trend. Data show that about 15% of people over the age of 40 are at high risk of stroke. Therefore, middle-aged and young people should always pay attention to their stroke risk.

The study found that people suffering from high blood pressure, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, high work pressure, frequent anxiety and obesity are prone to stroke. Modern middle-aged and young people have a fast life pace, high work pressure and irregular diet, which virtually increases the risk of "three highs", which in turn leads to hidden risks of stroke. Compared with family history, these risk factors are controllable factors.

What should we do to prevent stroke?

1. Prevention of stroke starts with lifestyle changes: Eat breakfast on time.
A study by School of Medicine, Osaka University in Japan showed that the more you eat breakfast on time, the less likely you are to have a stroke, and those who do not eat breakfast have a stroke rate nearly 20% higher than those who eat breakfast every day. Not eating breakfast can cause high blood pressure and high cholesterol, which increases the risk of stroke.

A balanced diet.
Compared with people with normal diets, the cholesterol levels of vegetarians are mostly low, which also increases the risk of stroke. If the content of cholesterol is too low, the cell membrane will become less elastic and more fragile, which will easily lead to the rupture of cerebral blood vessels in patients and increase the risk of cerebral hemorrhage.

Drink alcohol in moderation and quit smoking.
The nicotine contained in tobacco can cause vasospasm, increase blood pressure and accelerate arteriosclerosis. Alcohol may cause stroke by various mechanisms  including raising blood pressure, keeping the blood in a hypercoagulable state, causing arrhythmia and reducing cerebral blood flow.

Keep warm in winter and prevent heatstroke in summer.
Cold can excite sympathetic nerves and increase catecholamines in the blood, causing vasoconstriction throughout the body. High temperatures can easily lead to fluctuations in blood pressure, emotional tension, increased blood viscosity and poor sleep. These are four important causes of stroke.

Listen to music and exercise properly.
Brain invigorating can play a positive role in preventing stroke. Human language, calculation, analysis and other functions are borne by the left hemisphere of the brain, while music is conducted by the right hemisphere. It is recommended to listen to music more often, which can promote the "development" of the function of the right cerebral hemisphere of the brain.

Through limb movements, the brain also learns new techniques for controlling muscles, enhances the ability to judge distance and maintains the balance of limbs. A variety of exercise methods should be selected to exercise the brain.

2. The brain should be treated as soon as possible when premonitory symptoms of stroke appear:

According to Dong Hongtao, a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine, at the beginning of the onset of stroke, premonitory symptoms often appear such as dizziness, half-body sweating, numbness or inability to use hands and feet. The pathogenesis mostly arises from root deficiency and tip excess. Patients with tip excess refer to those with static blood obstructing collaterals and internal phlegm turbidity block; patients with root deficiency refer to those with deficiency of both Qi and Yin or insufficiency of kidney and liver essence.

At this time, patients should be treated according to syndromes and pathogenesis. For patients with tip excess, they should be treated with medicines that promote blood circulation, remove blood stasis and clear heat and phlegm. For those with root deficiency, they should be treated with medicines that supplement Qi and blood and tonify the liver and kidney. Such treatments can greatly reduce the incidence of stroke and play a major role in prevention. [The content reference is shared by TCM doctor Dong Hongtao via Weibo]

Promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis and accelerating the body's metabolism is one of the functions of Ganoderma lucidum. In addition, Sheng Nong's Herbal Classic records that Ganoderma lucidum is beneficial to liver Qi. Compendium of Materia Medica also records that "Ganoderma lucidum improves the eyesight, nourishes liver Qi, and quiets the spirit and soul". Ganoderma lucidum is mild-natured, non-toxic, enters the heart, liver, lung and kidney channel, secures the root and nourishes the spirit, and supports right and dispels evil.

From the point of view of traditional Chinese medicine, the fundamental pathogenesis of stroke is excess in the upper and deficiency in the lower. Therefore, the key to preventing stroke is to maintain vitality. Lingzhi is a "top-grade medicine" that can enter five channels among thousands of Chinese herbal medicines. It is of great benefit to the overall adjustment of the body's vitality.

3. The apoplectic should cultivate health.
At the time of stroke and in the middle and late stages of stroke, reasonable self-regulation measures are still very important. While consolidating the therapeutic effect, these self-regulation measures can restore the body's right Qi and make the body tend to rehabilitate.

Only when stroke patients attach importance to health, diet, daily life, sports and emotions and actively cooperate with correct treatment can they prevent the further development of stroke in time so as to achieve the purpose of early recovery.
Stroke patients can also take Reishi mushroom for health. Wu Tingyao shared a practical experience story of resolving the seemingly insoluble cardiovascular crisis with reishi mushroom.

The 90-year-old Mrs. Wu is the first Ganoderma user that Wu Tingyao interviewed personally. When she was interviewed in 1999, she was clear-minded and walked freely. She didn't need crutches to move. she didn’t show a sign of paraplegia caused by a stroke 5 years ago. At that time, the doctor estimated that "it is a blessing not to get worse". And no one expected that the old lady could leave the hospital on her own after being hospitalized for 20 days. It was speculated afterwards that it was probably because her son started feeding lingzhi extract preparations to the old mother every one or two hours from the moment of calling an ambulance so that the injury of stroke can be eliminated invisibly.
